And now for a break….
As Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” rang out from the Redgrave Hall on Wednesday evening I couldn’t help but think that it was an appropriate piece for the end of the Spring term. Not hallelujah it is over, rather hallelujah look at what we’ve done, look at what has been achieved.
This term has been both lengthy and purposeful. Much has been achieved both in and out of the classroom and it has been a delight to witness such a grand degree of progress in so many areas.
As mentioned the spring concert provided a feast for the ears and fulsome congratulations should go to all who performed and supported our players. Special thanks should go to Mr Calvert and Mrs Calvert for their unstinting efforts in planning and preparing for such an amazing event. (Photos at the end of the newsletter)
Next term commences on Monday 27 April. For those who face the challenge of public examinations this holiday is a vital period of examination preparation. When they return the exams will be upon us. All students should remember that the staff remain here, ready to support with answers to final questions and revision support; students should not hesitate to ask for assistance if it is required.
As I look out of my window it is clear that summer is almost here and that we have much to look forward to next term. Before then I do hope that you have a most enjoyable holiday.
Mr Nicholas Hammond
Headmaster
